How we approach a garden

Start with light, soil and how much looking-after you realistically have. Then choose trees and shrubs that will still make sense in ten years.

We are happy to walk the nursery with you and pull plants for a list, or to visit a site when diaries allow. Show gardens and larger commissions are occasional — most of our week is still spent growing and selling plants.
